For people who have lost a loved one, the Thanksgiving and Christmas season can be bleak; now there is help available. Below, please find all the pertinent information about Surviving the Holidays, a one-time, online seminar being offered by GriefShare and sponsored by Yates Baptist Church for those who are grieving.
Surviving the Holidays (STH) offers practical, actionable strategies for making it through the holiday season while you are grieving. You will view a video at the meeting featuring advice from people who have faced the holidays after their loss. You will also hear insights from respected Christian counselors, pastors, and psychologists. You will have an opportunity to participate in a group discussion if you choose (no one is ever forced to talk). You will find the Survival Guide, which you purchase at registration ($5 plus S&H), helpful at the seminar and beyond.
Date and Time:
**The meeting is Saturday, November 11, from 10 AM until approximately 12:00 Noon via Zoom.
Who can attend this meeting?
**Anyone grieving the loss of a loved one (including close friends) is welcome. Grieving members of the community are welcome also; you do not have to be presently participating in GriefShare or attend Yates Baptist Church to join us.
