After the Storm

Tropical Storm Chantal has brought historic flooding to our region. Yates is responding with compassion, prayer, and action.

Loving Our Neighbor

Over the July 4th weekend, the remnants of Tropical Storm Chantal brought historic rainfall and flash flooding to our region. Communities across Alamance, Orange, Chatham, and Durham counties have been devastated. In Saxapahaw, the Haw River surged to its second-highest level on record. Homes and businesses were submerged. Power outages affected more than 23,000 people. Roads collapsed. Dams were threatened. Families were forced to evacuate. Recovery will take weeks—if not months. And for many of our neighbors, the weight of this crisis is just beginning to settle in.
