Missions IRL
Missions IRL stands for Missions In Real Life. It’s a hands-on approach to missions education and involvement. We have made and decorated bookcases to give to needy children. We have packed food donations that were then given away to needy families. And, we have made and delivered large casseroles to Urban Ministries. At Yates, families work together - not just to hear about doing good things for others, but to do those good things together. It’s not just missions education - it’s Missions IRL.
We helped set up the Yates Association Food Pantry.
We made cards and a poster to thank our fire fighters, our "helping hands," at our local station. We also made cookies and some tasty snacks.
Our fire fighter friends were thankful and showed us around their station house. Thanks to Durham Fire Station #5 for all they do!
